PHOENIX, Ariz. - The Phoenix RoadRunners of the ECHL are pleased to announce a three-year agreement with the Alltel Ice Den in North Scottsdale as the club's official practice facility, and the host of the inaugural "Blue-White Game" at 6:30PM on Wednesday, October 19 that will headline the pre-season schedule.

General admission to the "Blue-White Game" will be $5.

"The Ice Den is a first-class facility and their organization has done a tremendous job to promote hockey and family entertainment throughout the Valley," said RoadRunners COO Ray Delia. "We look forward to a long and successful relationship and giving our fans their first taste of the 2005-06 RoadRunners at the ‘Blue-White Game'."

Through this partnership, the RoadRunners will also hold four player autograph sessions at the Alltel Ice Den during the regular season. The Ice Den's Coyote Ice Sports retail store will sell RoadRunners merchandise throughout the year and will be the official location for the RoadRunners end-of-season game-used equipment sale.

"We are thrilled to have the Phoenix RoadRunners as part of the hockey scene at the Alltel Ice Den," said Michael O'Hearn, President of Coyotes Ice, LLC. "Interest in hockey is growing by leaps and bounds in the Valley, and with the historic value that the RoadRunner brand offers, it is even more meaningful as a peer program to our vast youth hockey association."

O'Hearn went on to add, "Playing host to the Phoenix RoadRunners along with the Arizona State University Hockey program is a natural evolution for our facility. Our extensive customer base is chock-full of kids and families that will benefit from the intimate surroundings with which they'll be able to embrace their new heroes. The fans truly win in this new partnership."

In addition to the "Blue-White Game", Phoenix will play two pre-season games on the road against the San Diego Gulls at 7:30PM on Friday, October 14 and at 5PM on Saturday, October 15. Both contests will be held at the San Diego Ice Arena in Mira Mesa, Calif.

The Alltel Ice Den is a 120,000-square-foot state-of-the-art ice skating and entertainment center. Since its opening in June 1998, the Ice Den has revolutionized the ice skating industry in Arizona and has become a gathering place for many Valley residents. With twin NHL regulation-size ice surfaces, the Alltel Ice Den is a unique facility capable of fulfilling the diverse sports and entertainment needs for many Arizona families and businesses. Just this past year, the Ice Den upgraded its on-site amenities again with the additions of Mountainside Fitness Platinum Club, a Peter Piper Pizza Restaurant, and the popular Chilly Bean Cafe'.

RoadRunners professional hockey returns to downtown Phoenix at 7PM on Saturday, October 22 when the Utah Grizzlies visit America West Arena in the ECHL season opener for both teams. Season tickets for all 36 home games are on sale now and start as low as $252. For more information, call (602) 462-GOAL or visit www.phxroadrunners.com.
