Toledo Walleye News Release
(Toledo, Ohio) The Toledo Storm of the ECHL announced today the signing of defenseman Simo Pulkki (SEE-moh, PULL-kee) to a contract.
"Simo has great size (6-5, 220) for a defenseman," said Head Coach and Director of Player Personnel Nick Vitucci. "That size along with his toughness will fit right into our defense core."
Pulkki, the native of Finland, comes to Toledo following a one-year stint in the United Hockey League. Last season, Simo split 66 games between Kansas City and Richmond. He scored 3 goals with 10 assists and added 69 penalty minutes in those contests. In 2003-04, Pulkki was a member of the Peterborough Phantoms, Champions of the English National Premier League.
