INF Tyler Alamo placed on the 7-day disabled list

Following tonight's game, the Chicago Cubs announced the following roster move affecting the Myrtle Beach Pelicans:

-INF Tyler Alamo has been placed on the 7-day disabled list, retroactive to May 30.

Alamo's last action was blasting a walk-off grand slam on Tuesday against Winston-Salem. In 40 games this season for Myrtle Beach, the Cypress, Calif., native is batting .254/.299/.465 with six doubles, eight home runs and 27 RBIs. Alamo also played for the Pelicans in the 2016, when he hit .281/.322/.422 with 24 doubles, 12 homers and 42 RBIs in 114 games. He was originally drafted by the Cubs in the 24th round of the 2013 draft out of Cypress High School in California.

The Pelicans' roster sits at 25 active players, with six players on the disabled list.
