Friday's Home Game Suspended in the Second Inning

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The Dash's series opener against the Carolina Mudcats was suspended Friday night in the top of the second inning at BB&T Ballpark due to inclement weather and unplayable conditions.

The game began at 8:24 p.m. after an initial delay of one hour and 24 minutes. Right-hander Jimmy Lambert struck out his fourth batter of the night when officials signaled for the tarp to be placed on the field.

At the time of suspension, the Dash and Mudcats were scoreless in the top of the second inning with one out. Ronnie Gideon is on second base for the Mudcats after leading off the frame with a double.

The game will resume on Saturday at BB&T Ballpark at 5 p.m. and be played in its entirety. Thirty minutes after the conclusion of the suspended game, the Dash and the Mudcats will play a seven-inning contest. Pregame coverage begins at 4:45 p.m. and fans can listen live on wsdash.com/broadcast, MiLB.tv and the TuneIn Radio App. Gates will open at 4:15 p.m. for both games.

All tickets from Friday's game can be exchanged for any future game with the exception of July 4th. Also, Saturday's tickets are valid for both games.

Promotions during the remainder of the series with the Mudcats include a Chick-fil-A Four Pack Saturday and a Latin American Jersey Day on Sunday. The series finale with Carolina will also be a Lowes Foods Family Sunday, where children 12 and under will receive a free bag of popcorn.
