Friday night the Fuel visit Cincinnati for the first of 10 meetings with the Cyclones this season, six of which come on the road. The Cyclones come into the week one point better than the Fuel and lead the ECHL's Midwest Division with 16 points. Cincinnati goalie Brad Thiessen is tied for first in save percentage at .943 and ranks fourth in goals against average with a 1.73.
Saturday and Sunday the Mallards and Fuel play a home-and-home to round out the weekend. This will be the second and third meetings between the two clubs with the Fuel having won 5-2 last week in Indy. Sunday's game marks the first-ever trip for the fuel to the Quad Cities.
ON THE MOVE
This week the Fuel received defenseman Sam Jardine back from the Rockford IceHogs on loan. Jardine returns after appearing in three games with the IceHogs where he recorded no points and a +2 rating. He also had an assist in two games with the Fuel earlier this season to go with a +1 rating.
ROAD WARRIORS
The Fuel now enter a stretch where they will play six of its next seven games away from Indiana Farmers Coliseum, with only this Saturday's game against the Quad City Mallards coming on home ice. After that game the team will not been seen in the state of Indiana until Thursday, December 3rd when they host the Toledo Walleye at 7:05 pm.
INDY FUEL LIVE
The next installment of Indy Fuel Live will be on Tuesday, November 17. Broadcast live from Sinking Ship 2 at 4825 East 96th Street 6-7 pm, Indy Fuel Live will feature head coach Scott Hillman and Fuel players and staff each week. The show will air on Indy Fuel flagship station CBS Sports 1430 AM and streamed via www.cbssports1430.com or the TuneIn Radio app for your smartphone and tablet.
Those attending the show live will have a chance to help BattleLymes disease by making a $10 donation to the Green Army and the BattleLymes Foundation. Each person making a donation receives a t-shirt and is entered into a drawing to win four (4) tickets to an upcoming Fuel home game.
