Indy Eleven and Community Health Network Extend Partnership Through 2018 Season

INDIANAPOLIS - Indy Eleven Professional Soccer is proud to announce Community Health Network has extended its partnership with the North American Soccer League club and will serve as the team's "Official Sports Medicine Provider" through the 2018 NASL season. The Indianapolis-based Community Health Network has been an official Corporate Partner alongside "Indiana's Team" since its Inaugural Season in 2014.

The continuation of the partnership will see members of the Community Health Network family maintain the health and fitness of the "Boys in Blue" around the calendar for the next three years. Community Sports Medicine will provide extensive medical services to Indy Eleven, including physician and athletic trainer support. The athletic trainer provides support at all practices and games and works collaboratively with the team physician to provide injury care, sports nutrition consultation, sports performance services and access to Community's network of health and wellness facilities.

"After two successful seasons as partners with Community Health Network, Indy Eleven is excited to continue working hand in hand with their tremendous team through 2018," said Indy Eleven president Jeff Belskus. "Community Health is committed to keeping athletes in peak condition and to giving back to the Central Indiana community, which makes them a perfect fit for our organization."

As part of the partnership, Indy Eleven has welcomed head athletic trainer Brian Gerlach, MS, LAT, ATC, CSCS, back to his day-to-day role with the team for a second-straight season. Gerlach, who has previous experience with U.S. Soccer's Youth National Teams and Major League Soccer's D.C. United, instructs team members through fitness and conditioning programs and provides individual treatment plans for injuries and rehabilitation programs.

Indy Eleven is also proud to welcome back Daniel Kraft, MD, as the team physician. Dr. Kraft, who assumed the role in 2015, will be joined by orthopedic surgeons Gregory Estes, MD, and Mariss Sraders, MD, to provide injury checks, treatment and prevention care and sideline medical care coverage.

Athletes of every age and level can benefit from Community's comprehensive sports medicine services to keep them performing at their best. Comprehensive services include access to primary care sports medicine physicians and orthopedic surgeons, sports and orthopedic walk-in injury clinic, sports injury prevention services, concussion management, sports physicals, education and screenings.

Community Sports Medicine also provides sports medicine services for the Indy Fuel professional hockey team, Ed Carpenter Racing Team and support for athletic teams at area high schools, including Beech Grove, Decatur Central, Franklin Central, Greenwood, Lawrence Central, Lawrence North, New Palestine and Warren Central. Additionally, Community Sports Medicine partners with Riverview Hospital to support Noblesville High School athletic programs.
