
Individual tickets for August 9 sold out

Washington, D.C. (July 19, 2007) - D.C. United announced today individual tickets for the August 9 game versus David Beckham and the Los Angeles Galaxy are now sold out. A very limited number of seats remain for purchase via ticket packages and special promotions. Tickets are no longer available online and can only be purchased by calling D.C. United directly at 202-587-5000.
"Despite an increased interest in D.C. United tickets throughout the season, individual game tickets to the Galaxy match are selling at an unprecedented pace," said United Executive Vice President Stephen Zack. "Those wishing to attend the match should call D.C. United immediately before all ticket options are exhausted."
Pro-rated full season ticket packages are still available and include the Galaxy game as part of the offer. The pro-rated package includes the final ten home games, beginning with United's July 25 SuperLiga match vs. Mexican club Monarcas Morelia.
Additionally, tickets for the August 9 game can still be obtained by purchasing a 5-Game MLS Stars package, which offers two different premium level seating options. The first package offers the following five matches: Aug. 9 vs. the Los Angeles Galaxy (upper level only), Sept. 9 vs. Taylor Twellman and the New England Revolution, Sept. 26 vs. Freddy Adu and Real Salt Lake, Oct. 20 vs. the Columbus Crew featuring a reunion of United's 1997 MLS Cup Championship side and Nov. 14 at the 2007 MLS Cup. The second version provides the following games: Aug. 9 vs. Los Angeles Galaxy, Aug. 22 vs. Juan Pablo Angel and the New York Red Bulls, Oct. 13 vs. Cuauhtemoc Blanco and the Chicago Fire, Oct. 20 vs. Guillermo Barros Schelotto and the Columbus Crew and the 2007 MLS Cup on Nov. 14.
Galaxy ticket options are also included with the purchase of a corporate hospitality package. The club's corporate hospitality offerings are a great option for client entertainment, employee outings, and private parties. Contact a D.C. Finally, tickets to the Galaxy match may be obtained by registering for the inaugural D.C. United Coaches Symposium. The program, hosted by United in conjunction with Brazil's Clube Atletico Mineiro, will take place August 6-10 at RFK Stadium. The five-day event and has been structured to provide coaches with instruction and insight into the development of the young soccer player from the U-12 to U-16 and professional level. The $145 option includes an upper level ticket for the August 9 match-up. Interested parties may register for the Symposium at dcunited.com. Please note: the program is intended for coaches and Galaxy tickets will be distributed on the final day of the Symposium.
