
Indians Join Brewers On Deck Promotion

INDIANAPOLIS, IND. -- The Indianapolis Indians will join the Milwaukee Brewers at the "Brewers On Deck" event, a free new event for fans of all ages, scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 24 at Brookfield Square (Wisc.) , it was announced today by Indians General Manager Cal Burleson.
Brewers On Deck, sponsored by the Miller Brewing Company, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel and Fox Sports Net North, will be held at Brookfield Square, just north of Milwaukee, from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.. The event will feature autograph and photo sessions with current and former Brewer players, the first Talking Brewers radio program of 2004, music from Miller Park organist Dean Rosko, a children's interactive area, clowns, face painting, magicians as well as visits by Bernie Brewer and the famous Klement's Racing Sausages. The Indians will be represented by Rowdie and will have Tribe merchandise available for sale.
"Brewers On Deck will be a fun event for our fans and families to come and meet our players and staff," said Aleta Mercer, Brewers Director of Entertainment. "We wanted to impact as many of our fans as possible and we thank Brookfield Square for their enthusiastic cooperation."
Those currently scheduled to appear for autographs and photographs include Brewers skipper Ned Yost, players Ben Sheets, Scott Podsednik, Wes Helms, Chad Moeller, Craig Counsell, Lyle Overbay, Junior Spivey, Dan Kolb, Wayne Franklin, Chris Capuano, Bill Hall, Keith Ginter, Rickie Weeks and former players Gorman Thomas, Don Money and Larry Hisle.
Fans also will have the opportunity to sign a large card to congratulate the newest Brewers Hall of Famer, Paul Molitor, that will be presented to him on Paul Molitor Night at Miller Park on June 16.
