Indianapolis Indians News Release
INDIANAPOLIS -- Thursday evening's International League contest between the Indianapolis Indians and Richmond Braves was suspended in the middle of the fourth because of heavy rain in downtown Indianapolis. Richmond was leading 2-0 when play was interrupted.
The game will be completed as part of a doubleheader at Victory Field on Friday, June 23. The first game will be completed as a nine-inning contest. The second game will be a seven-inning affair. The twinbill is slated to begin at 6 p.m. EDT.
Friday's action will be televised by WHMB-TV 40 with Howard Kellman and Jim Barbar. Both contests will also be carried by ESPN-950 AM and IndyIndians.com with Scott McCauley and Mark Boyle.
Fans with tickets to Thursday night's suspended game may exchange them -- for tickets of equal value -- to another 2006 regular-season home game (based on availability). All exchanges must be made at the Victory Field Box Office.
