INDIANAPOLIS -- Second baseman Chris Truby plated pinch hitter Taber Lee with a two-out single in the bottom of the eighth as Indianapolis walked off to a 1-0 victory over Richmond in front of 11,978 in the nightcap Friday evening at Victory Field.

The Braves jumped out to a three-run advantage and never looked back in a 3-1 win over the Indians in the first game. The opener was a continuation of Thursday night's affair, which was suspended in the middle of the fourth inning after a lengthy rain delay.

Indianapolis moves to 39-34 on the season, while Richmond is now 27-47 overall. The Indians remain one game ahead of Louisville and Toledo in the International League's West Division. Saturday will be the Tribe's 63rd consecutive day atop the division.

Indianapolis managed its second walk-off win of the season by manufacturing a run in the eighth inning of game two. Lee was hit by a pitch, moved to second on LF Rich Thompson's sacrifice bunt and came plateward on the Fishers resident's base knock through the right side.

Tribe RHP Jonah Bayliss (3.0 IP, 5 SO) worked three perfect frames for the game two win. The hard-throwing closer is now 3-1 on the season with a team-best 10 saves. RHP Marty McLeary (5.0 IP, 3 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 5 SO) settled for a no-decision despite facing just four over the minimum.

Richmond RHP Peter Moylan (0.2 IP, 1 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 1 BB, 1 SO) fell to 1-4 with the game two loss. RHP Ricardo Rodriguez (7.0 IP, 4 H, 0 R, 2 BB, 2 SO) took a no-decision despite facing just five over the minimum.

No individual from either side had more than one base knock in the nightcap. Indians 3B Yurendell de Caster's seventh-inning double was the only extra base hit for either team in 13 1/2 innings between the two tilts.

The Braves ended their 12-game losing streak in the opener with runs in the second, third and fifth. SS Tony Pena scored 2B Cesar Crespo in the second with an single to right center. 1B James Jurries followed with a double to right center in the third as LF Gregor Blanco came plateward. RHP Jonathan Johnson then crossed the dish in the fifth on a bases-loaded walk.

Johnson (4.0 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 4 SO) picked up his first win of the season in game one, while RHP Manny Acosta (1.0 IP, 1 H, 1 BB, 1 SO) notched his third save.

Indians RHP Jason Roach (4.0 IP, 5 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 0 BB, 1 SO) was pinned with the game one loss, falling to 2-2.

Blanco (2-for-4, 1 R) and Indianapolis CF Rajai Davis (2-for-4, 1 RBI) were the only individuals to register multi-hit games in the opener.

Richard went 1-for-2 with a pair of walks in the nightcap and has now reached base safely in 34 straight games -- the longest streak of any IL batter this season.

The two clubs return to Victory Field Saturday night at 7 p.m., for game three of the four-game series. LHP Sean Burnett is slated to start for Indianapolis, while LHP Chuck James is expected to get the nod for Richmond.

Ben Holden and Geoff Zahn will have the play-by-play on TV (Comcast Local), while Howard Kellman and Scott McCauley are set to call all the action on radio and internet (ESPN-950 AM and IndyIndians.com).
