Independence Day Family Celebration At Dodd Stadium

NORWICH, CT---The Connecticut Tigers, Norwich Arts Council (NAC), and Rose City Renaissance are proud to announce the details on the upcoming Independence Day Family Celebration. The event will be held on July 3rd at Dodd Stadium with gates opening at 5:00 p.m., following the Bully- Buster Youth Band event in the stadium lot.

The event will be highlighted with live music sponsored by WCTY 97.7 starting at 6:00 p.m. Performing at the 6 o'clock hour will be Stephanie Hansen and at 7:00 p.m, the musical band Branded, followed with patriotic music from the NAC band. The fireworks show sponsored by Mohegan Sun and Atlas Pyrovision will commence around 9:15 p.m. Children's activities will be available throughout the stadium and booth space remains available for artists and non-profit organizations, as well as youth programs. Dodd Stadium concession stands will be fully operational throughout the evening for patrons' enjoyment.

Tickets will be distributed at Dodd Stadium beginning on July 1st at 10:00 a.m. Tickets will be free, with a limit of six per adult 18 and over. There will only be 6,270 tickets available for entrance into the stadium. All seats are general admission and are on a first-come first-serve basis. Parking for the evening will be $5.00 per car at Dodd Stadium, with free parking and shuttle buses available at the CSC lot on New Park Avenue in the Norwich Industrial Business Park. Carpooling is highly encouraged and spectators should arrive early, as parking space is limited.

Fire and police departments will be available on site to insure the safety of all patrons for the evening, both inside and outside the park. Patrons should also make note that all normal fireworks regulations will apply throughout the evening and that no open flames will be permitted in the parking lots or on stadium grounds.

Please note that Plain Hill Road will be closed for the evening. All stadium access will be through the Norwich Industrial Business Park.
