Independence Day Celebration Highlights San Jose Giants Homestand Preview: July 1st - 3rd

SAN JOSE, CA- The San Jose Giants have a full schedule of promotions and events planned for the upcoming weekend that begins on Thursday, July 1st. The Giants will host three separate Fireworks Extravaganzas during the coming weekend, including two shows that will conclude the series against the Lancaster JetHawks Friday and Saturday.
Promotions and Special Events:
KRTY Country Thursday: Thursday, July, 1st is KRTY Country Thursday at Municipal Stadium. Be sure to stop by the KRTY booth to check out the KRTY live broadcast and enter to win great prizes. Fans can visit www.krty.com or www.sjgiants.com to print out their KRTY Family Four Pack which includes four tickets, four hot dogs and four sodas for just $33. In addition, fans can check online for a special KRTY/San Jose Giants Buy One Get One Free ticket offer good for one free ticket of equal or lesser value for every regularly priced ticket purchased. Merchant Night: Thursday, July 1st will be another Merchant Night at 7:00 PM. Be on the lookout at local businesses and stores for complimentary tickets to Thursday's game against Lancaster.
Fireworks Extravaganza: The San Jose Giants will host three separate Fireworks Extravaganzas this weekend. The first two shows will take place immediately following the July 2nd and 3rd games against the Lancaster JetHawks. The game time for both games are slated for 6:30 PM with fireworks starting a few minutes after the conclusion of each game. The third Fireworks Extravaganza will take place Sunday, July 4th as a part of the 95.3 KRTY All-American Country Jam.

KFOX Family Friday: On Friday, July 2nd, KFOX and the San Jose Giants will partner together for KFOX Family Friday. In addition to enjoying some great baseball, KFOX Family Fridays offer fans the opportunity to hang out with the KFOX roadies, win some great KFOX prizes and redeem the KFOX Family Four Pack of tickets which includes four tickets, four hot dogs and four sodas for just $33. FRITOSR Family Friday: Make Friday nights family night with FRITOSR corn chips and America's pastime. Come be a part of FRITOSR Family Fridays by attending the first Friday home games in June thru August. Fans will be randomly selected to take part in special ballpark experiences like throwing out the first pitch. Plus, a bag of FRITOSR corn chips will get you ten percent off San Jose Giants merchandise in the stadium store only on FRITOSR Family Friday games. Restrictions do apply. Mix 106.5 Saturday in the Park: On Saturday, July 3rd, the San Jose Giants and Mix 106.5 will team up to present fans with Mix 106.5 Saturday in the Park. The team will be wearing special Patriotic themed jerseys and New Era Hats that will be auctioned off during the game, with proceeds going to the Giants Sports Foundation. Gates open at 4:30 PM so make sure to be one of the first 1,000 fans in attendance who will receive a souvenir American Flag.
Community Events:
95.3 KRTY's All-American Country Jam: The San Jose Giants are proud to announce they will host the Independence Day Fireworks Show for the residents of San Jose. The celebration will take place at Municipal Stadium on July 4th following the 95.3 KRTY's All-American Country Jam. The concert is headlined by Country Music Artist Chris Cagle and will include a performance by James Wesley. Comcast has provided additional funding to present the fireworks show and United Site Services is supplying the necessary support facilities which will allow the local community to watch the show for free.
Tickets are available for purchase online at www.sjgiants.com, over the phone at (408) 297-1435 ext. 15 or in person at the Municipal Stadium Box Office. Tickets in advance are $15 for General Admission, $50 for VIP Tickets. The day of the show they will be $20 for General Admission, $60 for VIP Tickets. There is also a Firework Four Pack which includes four General Admission tickets for only $39.

Comcast Coverage: The San Jose Giants and Comcast have joined forces to bring fans an expanded schedule of 24 LIVE television broadcasts during the 2010 season. The games can be viewed live on Comcast Hometown Network Digital Channel 104 throughout most Northern California regions. Thursday and Friday night's games against the Lancaster JetHawks will both be broadcast on Comcast Hometown Network.
The LIVE games will be replayed several times on Comcast Hometown Network (Channel 104), and will also be available any time of the day or night via Comcast's popular ON DEMAND platform, which is free to Comcast digital customers. To view California League baseball games ON DEMAND, Comcast Digital Cable customers can tune to Channel 1 on their Digital Cable lineup or press the ON DEMAND button on their remote control, then click on the "Get Local" section, then click on "Local Sports."
Streaming Live: Every Giants game can be heard live on the San Jose Giants official website at www.sjgiants.com. Joe Ritzo will be behind the microphone for his seventh season as the voice of the Giants and fans can also find team information such as updated rosters, statistics, game notes, and news by visiting the website.
