Independence Adds Wells Fargo to 2016 Sponsorship Roster

CHARLOTTE, NC - Queen City Soccer Club LLC today announced that Well Fargo has signed on as an official team sponsor of the Charlotte Independence through the 2016 season.

"This is a great day for the Independence," said Wade Leaphart, the club's Chief Revenue Officer. "Wells Fargo is community-oriented, loyal and passionate - especially about financial success. We are beyond excited to welcome them to the team. Their support is another testament to the effort to make Charlotte a major player in the U.S. soccer scene."

Elements of the partnership include stadium signing, in-stadium displays, promotional items, print and digital advertisements, PA announcements, social media and hospitality. Wells Fargo will be the presenting sponsor of Independence game recaps, league standings and the "Save of the Game" for each contest. In addition, Wells Fargo employees and customers will receive and exclusive discount on Independence tickets.

"They have shown they have what it takes to be champions on and off the field and we are proud to join their team. Wells Fargo is the seventh new sponsor the Independence has added since the start of the offseason. The club's 2016 season will kick off at Charlotte's Ramblewood Stadium on Saturday, March 26, with a 7:00pm match against Louisville City FC.
