Pittsburgh Xplosion News Release

PITTSBURGH, February 15, 2007 - Inclement weather in upstate New York has forced the postponement of the Pittsburgh Xplosion's Continental Basketball Association game scheduled for tonight, Thursday, February 15 against the Albany Patroons at Mellon Arena. The game was slated for 7:05 PM.

The Patroons were originally scheduled to depart Albany on Wednesday afternoon, but inclement weather, which dropped nearly 42 inches of snow in the greater Albany-area, forced the cancellation of more than 85 percent of the flights departing Albany International Airport on Wednesday and Thursday.

"We exhausted all possible travel alternatives," said Xplosion CEO Richard Hersperger. "Continued inclement weather in upstate New York, however, made it impossible to for the Albany franchise to secure safe and timely travel to Pittsburgh in order to play this evening's contest."

Details on a make-up date will be determined by the CBA at a later time. Individuals holding tickets for this evening's game may redeem for the rescheduled contest or present them at the Mellon Arena box office to receive tickets for any upcoming Xplosion game.

The Xplosion's next scheduled game is Sunday, February 18 at Albany. The team begins a four-game homestand on Monday, February 19 against the Minot Skyrockets at 7:05 at Mellon Arena.
