Albany-Pittsburgh game postponed due to weather conditions
February 15, 2007 - Continental Basketball Association 1 (CBA 1) News Release
ALBANY, NY (February 15, 2007) - The Continental Basketball Association announced that the Albany Patroons - Pittsburgh Xplosion game scheduled for February 15th at the Mellon Arena in Pittsburgh has been postponed due to severe winter weather. The recent Nor'easter that has pummeled New York State for the past two days has made travel in and out of Albany extremely difficult.
"We apologize to the fans of both the Xplosion and the Patroons, as well as to the teams themselves," said Dennis Truax, Director of Operations for the CBA. "However, this was a matter that was simply out of our hands. The weather here in Albany has made travel impossible for tonight's game in Pittsburgh."
Details on a make-up date will be determined by the CBA at a later time. Individuals holding tickets for this evening's game may be redeemed for the rescheduled contest or present them at the Mellon Arena box office to receive tickets for any upcoming Xplosion game.
