April 30, 2015 - Major League Soccer (MLS)
Club de Foot Montreal News Release
MONTREAL - The Montreal Impact announced on Thursday that it has come to an agreement with 98.5FM, a Cogeco network radio station, as the francophone radio broadcasting partner for the 2015 MLS season.
A minimum of 15 Impact games, presented by BMO, will be broadcast from the end of May to early September.
"The Impact is very pleased with this distribution agreement, which will allow a large number of listeners to follow our games throughout the season," said Hugues Leger, Impact Chief Marketing Officer. "The scope and leadership of the 98.5 sports team will be an asset to continue to build commitment from supporters across Quebec."
"98.5 and Cogeco are very pleased to join the Impact," said Michel Tremblay, sports director at 98.5FM. "This partnership helps strengthen the brand and image of 98.5, which already broadcasts Canadiens and Alouettes games. We want to provide all soccer and Impact fans an outlet to follow their team and get closer to the action."
BMO is a proud sponsor and a loyal fan of the Montreal Impact. By accompanying the club on this adventure, BMO demonstrates once again a commitment and additional support to the already existing partnership.
Each broadcast will be preceded by a 30-minute pregame show and will be followed by a postgame show as well.
Jeremy Filosa will be the voice of the Impact, serving as the play-by-play announcer for the games.
