(Southfield, Mich., January 23, 2008) - The Detroit Ignition (11-4) face the Chicago Storm (10-5) this Friday, January 25 at Sears Centre Arena. The club returns home on Sunday, January 27 to host the expansion La Raza de Monterrey (5-10) at Compuware Arena.

January 25, 2008: Detroit Ignition (11-4) at Chicago Storm (10-5)
The Ignition will travel to Chicago on Friday to take on the Chicago Storm for the third time this season. Detroit has posted a 2-0 record against Chicago this year. The Storm are led by former Ignition player Carlos "Chile" Farias, who has notched 31 points so far this season.
January 27, 2008: Detroit Ignition (11-4) vs La Raza de Monterrey (5-10)
The Ignition return home on Sunday to host the expansion La Raza de Monterrey at Compuware Arena. Sunday's match up will be the second meeting for the two clubs this season. Monterrey forward Dino Delevski is second in the MISL in points with 52 so far this season.
LAST WEEK'S OUTINGS:
January 18, 2008: Ignition, 15, Wave, 14 - The Detroit Ignition (11-4) defeated the Milwaukee Wave (11-5) 15-14 Friday night to take sole possession of first place in the Major Indoor Soccer League.
MISL scoring leader Greg Howes scored the first points of the match at 4:35 in the first quarter with a three-point goal off an assist from defender Tijani Ayegbusi. Ignition midfielder Ricardinho answered back two minutes later with an unassisted two-point tally. Howes scored another two points for the visitors at 12:23 in the first, but Ryan Mack responded at 14:24 with two more points for Detroit. Less than 30 seconds later, Hewerton scored his 50th MISL career goal with a three-point score off an assist from Ricardinho to put the Ignition up 7-5 at the end of the first.
Milwaukee scored first in the second quarter as midfielder Marcio Leite notched two points at 8:47, but the Ignition scored eight unanswered points to put the club up 15-8 midway through the third quarter. Mack, Abraham Francois, and Jamar Beasley scored for Detroit during the offensive attack, with Beasley accounting for two of the goals.
The Wave would score six more points before the night was over, but the Ignition held on and came out with a 15-14 win.
