Idaho's Derlago Named AMI Graphics ECHL Plus Performer For March

PRINCETON, N.J. - Idaho Steelheads' left wing Mark Derlago is the AMI Graphics ECHL Plus Performer of the Month for March after leading the league with a plus-minus rating of +14.

Derlago was even or better in 13-of-16 March games and was a +4 with a season-high five points (2g-3a) in a 7-3 win against Bakersfield on March 6. He was also a +3 twice including Idaho's 7-5 win over Utah on March 16 when he recorded four points (1g-3a).

The 24 year old ranks first in the ECHL with a plus-minus rating of +33 and 18 power-play goals while sitting tied for second in the league with 41 goals. His 91 points (41g-50a) ranks fourth in the league and his 35 power-play points (18g-17a) ranks third.

The Brandon, Manitoba native has played in the ECHL in each of his first three professional seasons and has 225 points (112g-113a) and 140 penalty minutes in 176 regular-season games with Bakersfield and Idaho. Derlago also has 15 points (8g-7a) and eight penalty minutes in 13 Kelly Cup Playoff games with Bakersfield. He has appeared in 30 American Hockey League games amassing 15 points (7g-8a) and 10 penalty minutes with Manitoba and Providence.
