
Idaho's Beskorowany Named ECHL Goaltender of the Month

PRINCETON, N.J. ¬" Tyler Beskorowany of the Idaho Steelheads has been named the ECHL Goaltender of the Month for January.
Beskorowany went 4-0-1 with a 1.74 goals-against average and a save percentage of .947 in five appearances for the Steelheads, while also making 13 saves on 15 shots in the second period of the ECHL ¬ËAll-Star Classic on Jan. 26 to record the win for the ECHL ¬ËAll-Stars in their 9-3 win over Bakersfield.
The 20 year old made at least 33 saves in four of his five appearances during the month including a 39-save performance in a 2-1 win against Utah on Jan. 21. He stopped 34 shots in an 8-1 win over the Grizzlies on Jan. 22, 33 saves in a 4-3 shootout win at Stockton on Jan. 28 and 35 saves in a 4-1 victory at Stockon on Jan. 29.
A second-round selection (59th overall) of the Dallas Stars in the 2008 NHL ¬ËEntry Draft, Beskorowany is 9-3-4 with one shutout in 16 appearances for the Steelheads this season. He leads the ECHL with a 2.01 goals-against average and a .938 save percentage. He also has seen action in eight games with Texas of the American ¬ËHockey League going 4-4-0 with one shutout, a 2.64 goals-against average and a .925 save percentage.
Prior to turning pro, he played three seasons in the Ontario Hockey League with Owen Sound and Kingston, appearing in 134 games with a 52-56-17 record, two shutouts, a 3.69 goals-against average and a save percentage of .902.
Runners-Up: Joe Fallon, Las Vegas (9-3-0, 2.26 GAA, .922 save pct.) and Peter Delmas, Wheeling (6-0-0, 1.67 GAA, .948 save pct.).
