Indiana Ice News Release

INDIANAPOLIS - The Indiana Ice announced today that goaltender Cab Morris has been named the USHL Goaltender of the Week for his outstanding two-game performance between the pipes against the Youngstown Phantoms and Lincoln Stars last weekend.

Morris joins Troy Grosenick (Cedar Rapids) and Jeff Teglia (Omaha) as the only two-time winners of the award this season.

The future Dartmouth goaltender started the week with Thursday's 3-0 shutout of Youngstown as he stopped all 23 Phantoms' shots. He closed out the weekend with a 4-3 shootout victory over Lincoln on Saturday in which he turned aside 40 shots in regulation and overtime and all four Lincoln' attempts in the shootout. Overall stats for the weekend included a 2-0-0 record, 1.44 GAA and a .955 save percentage.

He enters this week's action as the USHL leader in goals-against-average (2.01), save percentage (.926) and shutouts (3).

Morris and the rest of his Ice teammates play a pair of home games this weekend. Indiana hosts the Youngstown Phantoms for their first ever visit on Friday (12/18) and division rival Cedar Rapids on Saturday (12/19). Both face-offs from Pepsi Coliseum are at 7:05 pm.

Tickets for Friday and Saturdays' games start as low as $9 and can be purchased through Ticketmaster by calling 1-800-745-3000 or online at ticketmaster.com or by visiting Karma Records, the Pepsi Coliseum, or Conseco Fieldhouse box offices.
