Indiana Ice News Release
INDIANAPOLIS- The Indiana Ice announced today that the team has acquired forward Blake Coleman from the Tri-City Storm for a 2010 USHL Draft pick.
The 5-11, 202-pound forward is in his first USHL season and suited up for 22 games with the Storm and tallied 11 points (2G, 9A) and 32 penalty minutes.
"Blake is a strong, hard-nosed player," said Ice head coach Jeff Blashill. "He will be a good addition to our current group of forwards."
The Plano, TX native will wear #18 and might see action for the Ice this weekend in their games against Youngstown and Cedar Rapids.
In other news, the Ice will add defenseman Jarrod Rabey to their roster for Friday's game against Youngstown. Rabey is on the team's affiliate list and was a 2009 USHL Draft pick of Indy. The 6-2, 223-pound blueliner has been one of the top defensemen this year for the Milwaukee Junior Admirals as he has produced 22 points (4G, 18A) in 35 games.
