Ice's Kuraly and Flinchem Selected for U.S. Team

INDIANAPOLIS - The Indiana Ice announced today that forward Sean Kuraly was named to the 2011 U.S. Junior Select Team that will compete in the 2011 World Junior A Challenge in Langley, B.C. from November 7-13.
Kuraly enters the weekend as part of a three-way tie for first in assists (6) in the league and second overall on the Ice roster in points (8). The 2010 NHL Draft Pick of the San Jose Sharks joins 19 other USHL players on the 22-man U.S. Selects roster that has won the tournament the past three years.
Joining Kuraly in British Columbia will be Indiana Ice Director of Team Services Darrin Flinchem. Flinchem has become a staple for the U.S. Selects Team, appearing on the bench the past five years, winning three gold medals in the process.
This will be the sixth year for the annual tournament and will feature six teams from across the globe. Teams represented in the tournament this year include The United States, Canada East, Canada West, Sweden, Russia and the Czech Republic.
The Ice face off at Tri-City and Lincoln this weekend at 8:05 pm before returning to the Pepsi Coliseum next Friday (10/28) and Saturday (10/29) for a double-dose of the Waterloo Black Hawks. Both games begin at 7:05 pm.
Individual game tickets start as low as $10 and there is a $2 discount for children 10 and under and seniors 62 and over. Tickets can be purchased through Ticketmaster by calling 1-800-745-3000, online at ticketmaster.com or by visiting select Wal-Mart and Simon Mall locations and the Pepsi Coliseum and Conseco Fieldhouse box offices.
