IceRays Team up with 92.7 KBAY to Raise Money for Bikes for Kids

Corpus Christi IceRays General Manager Pat Dunn announced today that the team has partnered with 92.7 KBAY to help raise funds for the station's second annual "Bikes for Kids" initiative. When the team hosts the Amarillo Bulls on December 4, 2010 at the American Bank Center, fans will be able to make donations for "Bikes for Kids" and in return will receive a ticket to that night's game.

In addition, throughout the month of November, the IceRays interns will be holding various events in and around Corpus Christi where they will raise money to be donated to the cause. 92.7 KBAY will provide remote broadcasts from the events which will be aired live on the radio.

"We're tremendously excited to partner with KBAY for such a great cause this holiday season," said Dunn. "It's gratifying to know that our efforts will benefit children in the area and bring smiles to their faces. We know our fans and followers will help us with the cause and make the fundraising a huge success."

Now in its second year, "Bikes for Kids" is an initiative started by 92.7 KBAY to give the gift of a brand new bike to children in need around the Corpus Christi area. Listeners submit a letter to the station, nominating a child who is in need of a bike. The selected letters are read on-air and during the week before Christmas, 92.7 KBAY distributes all the bikes, helmets, and bike locks to the kids. Last holiday season, the station donated 92 bikes to children in need and this year they are looking to surpass that number.
