
Texas Tornado Host Pack the House Weekend

FRISCO, TX - (November 10, 2010) - The Texas Tornado announced that this weekend's home games on Friday, November 12th and Saturday, November 13th at 7:30pm at the Dr Pepper Arena in Frisco are a PACK THE HOUSE weekend. Five tickets to either game this weekend are just $25! That means any seat in the arena (with the exception of Ike's Family Zone) are just $5 when you buy a minimum of five, even glass seats! Tickets can only be purchased by stopping by or calling the Tornado office at 972-335-9800. Offer is not available online.
The Tornado will host the Corpus Christi IceRays this weekend, who will be making their first-ever appearance to the Dr Pepper Arena in Frisco. The Tornado are the North American Hockey League's hottest team having won their last 12 games, and own the league's best record at 14-2-3. Tornado forward #5 Jackson Leef was just named as NAHL South Division Player of the Week, marking the fourth time this season that a Tornado player has been honored with the weekly award. Goaltender #31 Jimmy Kruger was also recently named as the NAHL's goaltender of the month for September/October and still maintains a perfect 9-0 record heading into this weekend's games.
On Saturday night, the Tornado will host an official Tailgating Party prior to the game beginning at 4:00pm in the South parking lot between the parking garage and the baseball stadium. There will be hot dogs served for all and fans are asked to being their own beverages. The Tornado mascot IKE and some of the Tornado Siren Dance Team will be on hand for all the fun. The weather is scheduled to be sunny and temperature in the mid-60's.
The Texas Tornado, proud members of the 27-team North American Hockey League, are back in 2010-11 for another season of exciting family entertainment at the state-of-the-art Dr Pepper Arena in Frisco, which now offers more seating, more amenities and more great action featuring the players that are the future of hockey. Since their inception in 1999, the Texas Tornado has set the standard for excellence for hockey for players 21 and under in the United States. Besides their three straight National Championships from 2004-2006, the Tornado has won seven NAHL Regular Season Division titles and had seven straight 40+ win seasons from 1999-2007. Since 1999, the Tornado have developed and moved on over 110 players in nine years onto NHL, NCAA and professional teams.
