PENSACOLA, FL - Ice Pilots' mascot Iceman and the newly formed dance team will be making an appearance tomorrow, Friday, August 24 at 5:30 p.m. at the Park Dedication for Harry Gowens on Pensacola Beach. The park is located at 200 Via de Luna on the north side of the road, at the corner of Avenida 11.

Iceman will ride down Via de Luna in a fire truck and end up at Harry Gowens Park. "We are all really excited for the kids," said Nora Jones, a member of the Pensacola Beach Chamber of Commerce. "It's going to be fun having the Ice Pilots' mascot and dance team, fire truck and firemen. We can't wait to see the kids' faces."

Gowens who passed away last January was instrumental with his donation to build Pensacola Beach Elementary School. He also developed much of the Eastern half of Pensacola Beach and is the only recipient of the "Spirit of Pensacola Beach" award.
