The Charlotte Checkers have made several big announcements in the last 10 days. None comes bigger to fans than the announcement of the return of forward Dusty Jamieson.

The Checkers also announced the final 2007-08 schedule which gets underway with a three-game homestand Oct. 19, 20 and 23.
Charlotte will face South Carolina and Columbia in two preseason games. The Checkers will travel to South Carolina on Friday, Oct. 12 and then host Columbia on Saturday, Oct. 13 at Extreme Ice Center.

The Checkers will hold a free agent/fantasy camp Oct. 5, 6 & 7. Compete against other amateurs and free agents under direction and supervision of Checkers coaches and players. Two participants are guaranteed a spot in the Checkers official training camp held in mid-October.
