IceHogs Open Exhibition Slate Tonight at Carlson Ice Arena

Rockford, Ill.-After three days of training camp practice, the Rockford IceHogs hit the ice tonight for their first of three exhibition games in 2011. The IceHogs will take on the Chicago Wolves at 7:05 p.m. at Carlson Arctic Ice Arena in Loves Park.

There is no admission to the game, but the IceHogs will solicit donations to benefit the Jr. IceHogs youth hockey program. All proceeds from concessions will also be donated to the Jr. IceHogs. Tonight's seating will be on a first-come, first serve basis.

Carlson Arctic Ice Arena is located at 4150 North Perryville Rd. in Loves Park.

Tonight's game will mainly feature players on try-out and AHL contracts with the IceHogs and Wolves, vying for a spot on each team's regular season roster. Rockford will also play exhibition games on Friday in Milwaukee (at the Kern Center) and Saturday against Peoria at the BMO Harris Bank Center.

Next Home Game: Saturday, Oct. 8 vs. Grand Rapids. The IceHogs open the 2011-12 season against the Grand Rapids Griffins at 7:05 p.m. at the BMO Harris Bank Center. Every fan in attendance will get an IceHogs 2011-12 magnet schedule. For tickets call (815) 968-5222 or visit icehogs.com.
