IceHogs Add another Familiar Forward

Rockford, Ill.- The Rockford IceHogs, proud members of the United Hockey League, announced that they have signed forward Jeremy Vokes. IceHogs Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Mark Bernard made the announcement on Wednesday.

Vokes returns to the IceHogs for his third stint. The forward comes to Rockford after beginning the 2003-04 season with the Lakeland Loggerheads (WHA2). Vokes racked up 11g-9a-20pts in just 23 games while playing in central Florida.

The Auburn, Massachusetts native last appeared in an IceHogs uniform during the 2001-02 season. Vokes was second on the Hogs with 30 goals and also had 27 assists and accumulated 57 points, all career highs.

Vokes is playing in his fifth season of professional hockey. The winger also played in Rockford during the 2000-01 season compiling 2g-6a-8pts in just 10 games. Last season Vokes played with the El Paso Buzzards (CHL) scoring 17g-13a-30pts in 64 games. Vokes is expected to be in the line-up tonight when the IceHogs play the Muskegon Fury.

Next Home Game: Fri., Jan. 16th vs. Quad City Mallards. Game time is 7:05 p.m. The IceHogs and Mallards mix it up on Wrestling Night and Guaranteed Win Night. The Hogs welcome to the MetroCentre "Mankind" Mick Foley, a WWE legend!
