
IceGators Shine at ECHL Skills Competition

Peoria, IL -- Frederic Cloutier and Ben Storey had quite a night in the Par-A-Dice ECHL All-Star Game Skills Competition tonight in Peoria, IL.
Cloutier guarded the nets against Eastern Conference teams in both the Rapid Fire and the Breakaway Relay. In the Rapid Fire, he stopped 9 of 10 shots and in the Breakaway, he blocked 5 of 6 shots. Cloutier was awarded Outstanding Goaltender for stopping 14 of 16 shots faced.
Storey also found success in the Breakaway Relay, as he was one of two skaters to score against Eastern Conference goaltender Chris Houle (Trenton).
Storey won the hardest shot competition with a slapper that measured 96.3 miles per hour.
The Par-A-Dice ECHL All-Star Game will be played Wednesday night at 7:30 pm CST. The game will be broadcast on Cox Sports on Sunday, January 25. The IceGators travel to Texas on Friday to battle the Wildcatters at 7:05 pm, in the first game of a home-and-home series that will conclude at the Frozen Swamp on Saturday at 7:05 pm.
