Lafayette, LA – Louisiana IceGators Head Coach and Vice President of Hockey Operations Todd Gordon today announced the team has claimed defenseman Randy Dagenais off waivers from the Greenville Grrrowl.

The second year defenseman spent most of 2004-05 season with Greenville. Dagenais scored 18 points (5-13-18) in 62 games for John Marks' team. Dagenais began his rookie campaign playing in five contests with the Gwinnett Gladiators, picking up six penalty minutes and no points. Prior to turning pro, the 6 foot, 200 pound native of Valrita, Ontario played four years at Union College, scoring 11 goals and adding 47 assists.

"I wanted to find a defenseman who can move the puck," said Gordon. "Dagenais is a steady performer who should fit in nicely on our blue line."

Individual game tickets for all 36 regular season home games are on sale now. Tickets are available at the Cajundome Box Office, and all TicketMaster outlets and online at www.ticketmaster.com. For more information call the IceGators office at (337) 234-4423.
