
IceDogs Sign Overage Defenceman Tyler Mort

Niagara IceDogs Head Coach and General Manager Marty Williamson announced today that the IceDogs have signed free agent overage defenceman Tyler Mort.
Mort joins the IceDogs from the York University Lions, where he scored a goal and picked up 7 assists in 17 games so far this season. Mort last played in the OHL for the Barrie Colts in 2010-11. In all, Mort has played in 162 career OHL games between Barrie and Kingston, picking up 2 goals and 12 assists for 14 points in those games. Mort was originally selected in the second round of the 2008 OHL Priority Selection by Kingston.
The entire IceDogs organization would like to welcome Tyler to the IceDogs and look forward to seeing him in an IceDogs jersey later this week!
