
IceDogs Sign Hamilton

St. Catharines, Ontario - The Niagara IceDogs Hockey Club announced today that they have signed Freddie Hamilton, the team's First Round Draft Pick in the 2008 OHL Priority Selection.
The 6-0, 175 lbs forward was selected with the 14th overall pick. Last season, as Captain of the Toronto Marlboros, Hamilton racked up 59 goals and 62 assists for 121 points in 74 games, with only 8 penalty minutes.
IceDogs General Manager Dave Brown was extremely excited about the signing describing Hamilton as "a complete player who works extremely hard in both ends."
Hamilton got his first experience with the IceDogs in early June, as he took to the ice for the IceDogs Annual Rookie Camp. Next, Hamilton will take part in the IceDogs main training camp which opens August 26th.
