Niagara IceDogs News Release

Tonight, the Niagara IceDogs continued their road trip, and faced off against the Sudbury Wolves.

The IceDogs played with a depleted roster, having 2 players on injury reserve (Cato and Peters), and 2 suspensions (Van Loon and Dionicio).

Sudbury opened the scoring late in the first, making it 1-0 after 20 minutes of play.

The second period saw 4 goals from the IceDogs. Pano Fimis tallied 2 goals, one of which was short handed, bringing him to 11 on the season. Brenden Sirizzotti got his 16th, and Danil Gushchin marked his 38th! The Wolves got 1.

After 40 minutes, it was 4-2 IceDogs.

The Wolves were able to get 2 goals late in the third, which forced the game into overtime. This solved nothing and the game moved into a shootout.

Pano Fimis finished off an exceptionally strong night, getting the shootout winner and giving the IceDogs the win!

The IceDogs next home game is Sunday April 3rd, when they face off against the Ottawa 67's. This is our fan appreciation game, the first 500 fans receive an IceDogs swag bag! You can grab your tickets here.
