
IceCaps Pluck Penguins 3-2 in OT

ST. JOHN'S, NL - Yann Danis was spectacular between the pipes making 50 saves for the IceCaps as St. John's topped the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins 3-2 in overtime Sunday afternoon at Mile One Centre.
Chris Terry kicked off the scoring with a power play marker from Ryan Johnston and Sven Andrighetto with less than five minutes gone in the first period. Andrighetto added another tally in the second to bring the IceCaps' lead to two. Terry and Johnston picked up their second points of the night with the helpers.
The Penguins came back with two unanswered goals from Oskar Sundqvist and Chad Ruhwedel to send it to overtime.
The extra-frame lasted 4:34 before Terry potted his second of the night, and the overtime winner on a set-up from Julien Brouillette.
