St. John's, NL - Despite a two-goal lead in the third period, the IceCaps couldn't secure a victory as the Binghamton Senators came back to win 5-4 in overtime Tuesday night at Mile One Centre.

Travis Ewanyk scored with 3:07 left in regulation to force the extra frame, where Fredrik Claesson stuffed in a wraparound to give the visitors two points.

Gabriel Dumont scored twice for the IceCaps while Bud Holloway and Darren Dietz added a goal each. Dustin Tokarski made his second straight start between the pipes and stopped 32 shots.

Former IceCap Eric O'Dell made his return to Mile One and picked up a goal on a wrist shot in the slot, while St. John's native Colin Greening notched the Gordie Howe hat trick, scoring the game's opening goal and adding an assist plus a fighting major after he took on IceCaps tough guy Connor Crisp. The second period saw three fights, including Jeremy Gregoire taking on Max McCormick and Dumont battling David Dziurzynski.
