New Mexico Ice Wolves News Release
The New Mexico Ice Wolves are excited to announce that we have signed 2001-born forward Liam Guerin to a tender contract for the 2020-21 season.ÃÂ Guerin comes from a strong hockey background as the son of Bill Guerin, current Minnesota WildÃÂ general manager and former NHL player (1263 GP).
At 6-foot-4 and 190 pounds, Guerin brings welcome size and grit to the roster. The Pennsylvania native spent this season playing prep hockey at Salisbury School, where he recorded an assist in 21 games. He also has an assist in seven games with the Yale Jr. Bulldogs Blue. Prior to attending Salisbury, Guerin played high school hockey at Sewickley Academy, where he put up 10 goals and 12 assists for 22 points in 19 games.
"We're excited about signing Liam to a tender," Head Coach Phil FoxÃÂ said. "He is a big strong power forward who will be a presence net-front as well as on the walls."
"I am excited for this opportunity," Liam said.
Guerin is the Xth player the Ice Wolves have tendered for next season. He joins Dulak, Greene, Jurcev, and Bentley in a strong recruiting class.
