ICE Visit Defending WHL Champion Prince Albert Raiders on Saturday Night

Winnipeg, MB - The Winnipeg ICE (2-1-0-0) visit the defending WHL Champion Prince Albert Raiders (2-0-1-0) on Saturday night.
Puck drop is scheduled for 8:00 P.M. CT.
Saturday's game is the second of a three games in three days stretch for the ICE, who will visit the Regina Pats to conclude the weekend on Sunday afternoon.

The Winnipeg ICE are coming off of a 7-6 victory over the Saskatoon Blades on Friday, September 27. Nino Kinder recorded his first career WHL hat trick in just his third career WHL game, while linemates Michal Teply and Isaac Johnson also registered three points. Goaltender Dean McNabb stopped 23-of-29 shots. The Blades received goals from Kyle Crnkovic (x3), Riley McKay, and Scott Walford (x2). Goaltender Nolan Maier blocked 32-of-39 shots. The ICE outshot the Blades 39-29. They went 2-for-4 on the power play, 3-for-5 on the penalty kill and won 25-of-68 face-offs.

Tonight's game kicks off a six-game home stand for the Raiders. The defending WHL Champions haven't lost in regulation to begin the season and are coming off of a 5-2 victory over the Regina Pats on Friday. Aliaksei Protas and Ozzy Wiesblatt led the way for the Raiders, each recording three points. Goaltender Boston Bilous stopped 23-of-25 shots in the victory. The Raiders outshot Regina 29-25. They went 1-for-3 on the power play, 0-for-0 on the penalty kill and won 39-of-71 face-offs.
HEAD TO HEAD
This is the first of six meetings between the Winnipeg ICE and the Prince Albert Raiders. The next meeting between these two teams won't be until December 13. The Raiders don't travel to the Manitoba capital until the New Year.
The ICE went 0-4-0-0 against the Raiders during the 2018-2019 campaign.
