
ICE to Honour Team Canada Gold Medallist Avery Pickering

The Winnipeg ICE will welcome Avery Pickering, a member of Canada's National Women's Under-18 Hockey Team who won the gold medal at the recent IIHF U18 Women's World Championship in Sweden, as the guest of honour Wednesday night at 7:00 when they host the Swift Current Broncos at the ICE Cave inside Wayne Fleming Arena.
Pickering, from St. Adolphe, Manitoba, will take part in a pregame ceremony and be available during the first intermission for a meet and greet to take pictures with and sign autographs.
Avery's brother Owen, a first round pick of the Pittsburgh Penguins, is one of nine Manitoba born players on the Broncos roster.
