
Wheatcroft Named WHL's Player of the Week

Prince George BC - Have a week, Chase Wheatcroft!
The Cougars forward scored four goals and seven assists in four games last week - to earn the WHL's Player of the Week honour.
The 20-year-old tallied four goals and six assists in three games against the Kelowna Rockets and one assist on Saturday night against the Kamloops Blazers. Wheatcroft will enter Tuesday night's game against the Saskatoon Blades, riding a 13-game point streak, which consists of 11 goals and 15 assists.
With the assist Wheatcroft collected on Saturday, he now owns 34 goals and 40 assists in 50 games played. The Calgary, AB product is tied for 3rd in league scoring with Zach Benson of the Winnipeg ICE. The current leading point getters in the WHL are Regina Pats forward Connor Bedard (96 points) and Kamloops Blazers forward Logan Stankoven.
Wheatcroft and the Cougars return to action tomorrow night at the CN Centre when they take on the Saskatoon Blades at 7:00 PM.
