Ice Slide Past Hawks
October 31, 2009 - United States Hockey League (USHL)
Waterloo Black Hawks News Release
A Kevin Goumas power play goal 6:50 into the third period pushed the Indiana Ice past the Waterloo Black Hawks 2-1 at Pepsi Coliseum in Indianapolis Friday.
The rebound score untied a 1-1 game. J.T. Brown had notched the first goal of the evening 9:13 into the second period, racing up ice after a faceoff win in the Black Hawk zone by Tyler Barnes. Max Cook tied the score for Indiana just over five minutes later, capping a three-on-two rush. The Cook and Goumas goals spoiled a solid night in net for C.J. Motte, who turned in 32 saves.
Waterloo meets Indiana again on Saturday at 6:05 central time.
