Calgary, AB – Roy Stasiuk, Assistant General Manager and Director of Player Personnel for the Kootenay ICE Hockey Club today announced the club has selected ten players in the 15th annual WHL Bantam Draft. The 2004 WHL Bantam Draft was for players born in 1989 and playing in the four Western Provinces and selected regions of the United States. All of the players selected today are at least one year away from playing regularly in the WHL.

"In a draft very deep in talent, we believe we were fortunate to add players at all positions, bringing different strengths and abilities necessary for future success. This is only the ninth draft for our franchise who have already won two WHL Championships and a Memorial Cup Championship. As an organization, we are very satisfied with our draft selections and we look forward to the future development of these players," continued Stasiuk.

The ICE had at least one selection in every round of the 2004 WHL Bantam Draft, with the exception of the sixth round. Kootenay had two selections in the fifth round.
