PENSACOLA, Fla. - The Pensacola Ice Flyers (30-20-4) used seven goals from five different goal scorers to close out the regular season home slate to beat the Huntsville Havoc (25-25-4) 7-1 on Saturday night inside the Pensacola Bay Center.

Pensacola grabbed the early lead thanks to a shot from the left wing circle by Joe Caveney just 3:18 into the game. Corey Banfield and Adam Pawlick assisted on the goal. In short order, Caveney notched his second goal of the game just 2:33 later. Once again the assists went to Banfield and Pawlick. Huntsville's Jeff Jones scored with 3:40 remaining in the period to make the score 2-1 heading into the intermission.

Another quick goal for Caveney finished off the hat trick just 1:32 into the second period. This time, the primary assist went to Pawlick and Banfield had the secondary. Less than a minute later, Josh Cousineau made it 4-1 with Ryan Kesti on the assist. Charlie Adams had his second goal in as many nights with 12:22 remaining in the middle frame as Joey Holka and Jeremy Gates picked up the assists.

30 seconds into the third period, Cousineau scored his second of the game after skating in all alone on a shorthanded breakaway. Kesti again had the lone assist. Drew Baker pushed the score to 7-1 with a power play goal with 6:23 remaining. Holka was credited with the only assist.

Matt Zenzola stopped 26 of the Havoc's 27 shots to pick up the win in his first game since returning to the Ice Flyers. Pensacola swept the Three Stars with Banfield being named third star, Cousineau second, and Caveney number one.

The regular season closes out for the Ice Flyers next weekend when they hit the road and head to Southaven, Miss., to take on the Mississippi RiverKings on Friday and Saturday night inside the Landers Center. Puck drop for both nights is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
