Ice Flyers Sign LW Ferguson and G Rose

The Ice Flyers are pleased to welcome left winger Shane Ferguson and goaltender Jeff Rose to the team.

A Belleville, Ontario native, Ferguson, who stands 5'10 and weighs in at 170 lbs., joins the Ice Flyers on a 3-game tryout after playing with the Danville Dashers of the Federal Hockey League and the Huntsville Havoc. He began the year with the Dashers and played in 11 games. In those 11 games he had 1 goal, 3 assists, and 54 penalty minutes. He joined the Havoc in time for their December 28th game versus Knoxville. In 6 games with the Havoc he had 1 goal and 2 penalty minutes.

The 6'4, 185 lbs. Rose hails from Canton, Connecticut and comes to Pensacola after beginning the year with the Fayetteville FireAntz before briefly joining the Brooklyn Aviators of the FHL. During his time with the Antz, he posted a 2-4-1 record, 4.32 goals against average, and a 0.860 save percentage. He played in one game while with the Aviators and got the win in a 7-3 game, giving him a 1-0-0 record, 3.00 GAA, and 0.900 SV%.
