Pensacola Ice Flyers News Release

PENSACOLA, FL. (October 1, 2014) - Rookie forwards Jacob Johnstone, Nick Campanale and Jake Johnson begin their pro careers with the Pensacola Ice Flyers.

"These three guys are coming to us highly recommended and well spoken for. They all come from great NCAA Div I programs and have had great careers for themselves," Head Coach Rod Aldoff stated. "I look at them to compete with that high pace they're used to and make our team highly competitive each and everyday."

Johnstone, a 5'11, 190lbs Michigan native, comes to the Ice Flyers after four years with Michigan Tech. In his 136 games with the Huskies, he accumulated 20 goals and 30 assists for a total of 50 points. He was also a recent prospect for the Elmira Jackals of the ECHL.

Hailing from the American International College Yellow Jackets, 6'1 and 185 pound Campanale finished his four-year run with 2 goals and 8 assists for 10 points. The Pennsylvanian was also designated as an assistant captain his senior year.

Johnson (5'8, 168lbs) derives from Minnesota and spent his college career with the Northern Michigan University Wildcats. He contributed 7 goals and 3 assists for 10 points in his 86 games during his four years with the team.

"They're all great people who are starting their pro careers. I look forward having them in Pensacola and playing a big part of our hockey club," Aldoff added.
