Ice Dogs Sign Member of NCAA National Champs

LONG BEACH, Calif. - The Long Beach Ice Dogs announced today that forward Jonathon Foster has agreed to terms for the 2005-2006 season. As per club policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The 5'10", 185 pound forward from Suffern, New York, played the last four seasons for the University of Denver. In his final two years, Denver won the NCAA National Championship. In 155 games played, he scored 44 goals, 44 assists, for 88 points and 88 penalty minutes. He was third on the team with 21 goals last season and seventh in the entire WCHA. He is tied for 8th on Denver's all-time game winning goals list with 10 and is tied for 10th all-time with 18 power play goals.

"Jon is a very gifted goal scorer from a winning background having won back-to-back championships at Denver", said Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations, Malcolm Cameron. "He was a big part of that success and we're looking forward to him bringing that success to Long Beach."

"I'm really excited about coming to Long Beach", said Foster. "I hear great things from former players about it being a really good place to play."
