
Ice Dogs Begin Taylor Cup Playoffs in Fresno

LONG BEACH, Calif. - The Long Beach Ice Dogs, appearing in the playoffs for the sixth consecutive year, begin their first round of the Taylor Cup Playoffs on the road against the Fresno Falcons on Friday, April 12. The Ice Dogs' first playoff home game in the best-of-five series is scheduled for Thursday, April 18, at 7 p.m. at the Long Beach Arena.
Despite owning a second place seeding in the playoff pairings, the Ice Dogs are forced to open at Fresno due to the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach. The West Coast Hockey League club will obtain their home-ice advantage in Games Four and Five if necessary.
Both teams met in the opening round of the playoffs last year resulting with the Ice Dogs defeating Fresno three games to two. The Ice Dogs had a 6-6-1 overall record during the 200-02 regular season.

Game 2 - Sat., April 13 @ Fresno - 7:30 p.m.
