Long Beach Ice Dogs News Release

LONG BEACH, Calif. – Ice Dogs Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations, Malcolm Cameron has agreed to terms with forwards Clark Udle and Derek Seal. As per club policy, terms of the deals were not disclosed.

Udle, 25, will be making his professional debut with the Long Beach Ice Dogs. The 6'2", 205 pound forward from Halifax, Nova Scotia played the last four years for St. Mary's University, registering 29 goals, 29 assists and 197 penalty minutes in 105 games. Prior to playing at St, Mary's, he spent five seasons in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) registering 34 goals, 50 assists, and 818 penalty minutes in 204 games.

"Clark is a big, strong, rugged, grinding type of player", said Cameron. "He's a physical, hard working, in-your-face type of player which is what we're looking for."

"I'm very excited about the opportunity" said Udle. "I've heard great things about the organization and the city and I can't wait to join the team."

Seal, 23, played in 38 games for the Ice Dogs last season, registering 4 goals, 5 assists and 36 penalty minutes. He caught the attention of Cameron who said he's a "good energy guy who works hard." Seal is the first player from last year's team to agree to terms thus far for next season.

"I'm really happy to be going back to Long Beach and playing for Malcolm", said Seal. "It's a great city with great fans and I'm looking forward to having a better year with the team."
