Knoxville Ice Bears News Release
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - On Sunday, March 14, the Knoxville Ice Bears auctioned off special Harley Davidson jerseys. However, this jersey auction was unlike any other. The Ice Bears made former Knoxville professional hockey player Mike Murray a jersey and auctioned it off with the proceeds from the sale of the jersey going towards Loudon County Sheriff's Deputy Jason Scott's memorial fund. The jersey sold for $510 to Dianna Smith and Knoxville Harley Davidson agreed to match the price up to $500, which brings the total for Murray's jersey to $1,010.
On Thursday night, Corporal Drinnen of the Loudon County Sheriffs Department, who was over the shift that Deputy Scott was serving on last Friday morning, will be presented the check by David Brown of Knoxville Harley Davidson and the Ice Bears.
For more information on this special event, please contact Genny Kirchner in the Ice Bears' office at (865) 525-7825.
