Knoxville, TN - Knoxville Ice Bear defeated the Roanoke Rail Yard Dogs in front of a highly entertained crowd of 3,167.

Knoxville traded goals with the expansion visitors to knot the period up at three. Knoxville's Jason Price, Jake Rivera and Doug Reid each tallied in the explosive opening stanza.

The middle frame was much more of the same as Knoxville's Price and Mark Pustin who found the back of the net to take a 5-4 lead into the final 20 minutes of play.

The Ice Bears continued the offensive onslaught as they piled on two more markers from Trever Hertz and Brad Pawlowski. Knoxville managed to fill the other side of the score sheet as they amassed 75 minutes in penalties to Roanoke's 62 recorded minutes.
