Ice Bears Add Goaltender Torris and Forwards Cousineau, Cangro

Knoxville, TN - (September 2, 2014) Knoxville Ice Bears announced today that the club has signed goaltender Braely Torris and forwards Josh Cousineau and Christian Cangro.
Torris, (5'11", 181 lbs.), is entering his first season as a pro after completing four seasons of NCAA III hockey. He spent his first two years with the University of Southern Maine where he played 49 games and his final two season with Neumann University. While at Neumann during his junior season, he played in 21 games, registering a 1.85 GAA (goals against average) and posting a .942 save percentage.
"I've heard the team's community support and fan base for the Ice Bears is arguably the best in the league. Having that excitement within the community, as well for home games makes each game that much more fun," said Torris.
Cousineau, (5'9", 181 lbs.), a forward from Penetang, ON, CAN spent the last four seasons playing for Adrian College in NCAA III, where he averaged over a point per game. During his tenure, Josh racked up 115 points in 104 games played. During his senior season, he served at the alternate captain.
Cangro, (5'11", 190 lbs.), a forward from Holbrook, NY, USA, where he attended SUNY- Brockport in NCAA III where he registered 62 points (26G, 36A) in 91 games played.
"Adding Josh and Chris to our growing list of talented forwards means the Ice Bears will no doubt be a different team offensively this season. Both guys are creative, talented playmakers who make things happen when they have the puck. Braely Torris was a player we were after from the beginning of the off-season and were very pleased to get signed. He's a very athletic goaltender with great attention to detail in the crease. He's been a consistent puckstopper at high levels his entire career," said Head Coach Mike Craigen.
